Hundreds of chivalrous swimmers rose to the challenge and captivated the imagination of people in Hong Kong and across the world.

The persistence and determination of the participating athletes, who have a strong desire to break through conventional limits, accurately reflects the artisans spirit of The Artisanal Movement, the unique brand personality of New World Group. As the title sponsor, we are honoured to have played a significant role in making history with the Hong Kong people. Together with the Organizer we will bring the Race to next levels this year, and make it an even more popular event in the international sporting calendar.

Sponsoring the Race is only part of our dedicated efforts to promoting swimming and a healthy lifestyle. To nurture talented swimmers for Hong Kong, in 2012, we established New World Swimming Academy, a training programme under sustainable community programme New World Springboard, with the Hong Kong China Swimming Association to provide free training of up to seven years to underprivileged children to unleash their potential in swimming. We will identify budding young stars to receive further professional training in the years ahead in a bid to groom them to become the next generation of entrants of New World Harbour Race.
