New World Harbour Race 2024 Cancelled due to Tropical Cyclone Warning
Participants to Receive Full Refund of Registration Fees
Due to the Tropical Cyclone Warning issued by the Hong Kong Observatory, which is set to last for a while with weather conditions affected, and to ensure the safety of participants and staff, the Hong Kong China Swimming Association (HKGSA), upon careful consideration, has taken the decision to cancel the New World Harbour Race 2024, originally scheduled for 10th November (Sunday). All affected participants will receive a full refund.
With the cancellation of the event, HKGSA will subsequently be refunding the following to swimmers who qualified for the initial race:
- Entry fee (HK$350);
- Time-trial fee (HK$150);
- Additional HK$100 charitable donation by swimmers (if applicable).
The organiser will provide further information regarding the refund arrangements through the official website of “New World Harbour Race 2024” and will notify all swimmers who qualified for the initial race via email. Next year's event arrangements will be announced in due course.
