Time Trial Notice

Participants MUST attend the Time Trial according to the date, venue and period stated on the Time Trial List. Those who do not report at the designated time slot will not be entertained. The time trial fee is non-refundable & non-transferable under any circumstances.

Qualifying Time	Must finish 1,500m within 35 minutes (Based on times achieved amongst all submitted times and/ or time trial records, faster Participants will be accepted to the Race (HKGSA reserves the rights of making final decision))

Participants may arrive at the venue at any time within their designated timeslot. However, please report at the REGISTRATION COUNTER before the registration cut-off time. Failure to report on time will not be entertained.
The process of the Time Trial (Please put on swimwear BEFOREHAND):
Registration Counter (Check-in) ➔ Marshal Area (Wait & Warm-up) ➔ Pool (1,500m Trial)
Participants are required to present the identification document (HKID card/ PRC ID card / Passport) at registration counter to verify the identity.
Due to the large number of participants, extra time for queuing will be required for the time trial.
Due to limited space, changing facilities will ONLY be available after Participants finish the time trial.
Due to the limited changing room facilities, lockers will not be available for the participants. Participants are requested to bring their personal belongings to the pool deck and are strongly advised not to bring any valuables.
Participants are not allowed to wear watches, any type of electronic devices or any accessories.
Participants can only warm up at the Marshal Area.
Participants should wait at the designated area after being assigned the group and lane.
Participants MUST present their registered HKID card/ PRC ID card / Passport to the timekeeper again before the Trial start for identification.
Participants must wear swim caps provided by HKGSA during the Trial.
For safety reason, No Diving is allowed.
Participants should swim 1,500m (any swimming style is allowed) and keep to the righthand side of the lane throughout the trial. Suggest NOT to pause during the trial. Thosewho cannot complete the trial within the designated time will be requested to leave water. Failure to comply will not be qualified to the Race.
Swimmer who exits the water during the Trial will be deemed to have withdrawn and is prohibited from re-entering the water to continue the Trial.
Participants must leave the water immediately after the Trial.
Instructions given by the officials must be followed and stay within designated viewing areas if there is accompanying persons who wish to watch.
Photography and video recording on site are strictly prohibited.

Typhoon Signal No. 8 (or above) / “Extreme Conditions”/ Black Rainstorm Signal Special Arrangements

In the event of issuance of Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above, Black Rainstorm Warning Signal or “Extreme Condition” announcement by the Hong Kong Observatory, the Time Trial Arrangement are as follows:-

Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above/ Black Rainstorm Warning Signal/ “Extreme Condition”	Time Trial Arrangement
Lowered Or Cancelled between 6:00 a.m. and 7:59 a.m.	Time Trial of that day will be started 3 HOURS after lowered or cancelled
Issued and will still be in force after 8:00a.m.	Time Trial of Leisure Group will be cancelled
Lowered Or Cancelled between 8:00 a.m. and 11:59 a.m.	Time Trial of Leisure Group and Racing Group will be started 3 HOURS after lowered or cancelled
Issued and will still be in force after 12:00 noon	Time Trial of that day will be cancelled
Issued during Time Trial hours	Time Trial to be terminated instantly and cancelled
